About Book: Katherine V thought boys were gross
Katherine X just wanted to be friends
Katherine XVIII dumped him in an e-mail
K-19 broke his heart
When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton’s type happens to be girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact.

On a road trip miles from home, this anagram-happy, washed-up child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a bloodthirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight, Judge Judy-loving best friend riding shotgun–but no Katherines. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl. Love, friendship, and a dead Austro-Hungarian archduke add up to surprising and heart-changing conclusions in this ingeniously layered comic novel about reinventing oneself

My Thoughts:

Dear John Green, (Yes My Review is a letter to this amazing writer)
There are days that I find myself wondering what makes you write such beautiful stories. You write off characters who continue to awe me beyond a doubt. You have Collin a nerd oddball who just awed me. He is the guy I want to fall in love with. I want to go back to my high school self and fall head over heels for him. He is just wow. He is no Augustus but he do far runs a close second. Then Hassan well I have nothing but a smile for him. He made me laugh more times than I can count. He has the same personality I had at his age. I thought oh my a fictional guy version of me. He truly was me at his age wanting to watch day time tv and be a non-doer. I love when he had the moment where he wanted to do more with his life. Hassan was the character I identified the most with because he reminded me of my self. So mr. Green this book made me smile and laugh. It is nerdy, witty, adventurous, funny and well fugging amazing! You sir are a talent.

note to everyone else if you asked me should you read this book I would say yes! I know your thinking you always say that Jess. In all seriousness this book was great. It is about healing and discovering who you are. now this is not my favorite John green book but it was one I enjoyed I do recommend reading it asap if you have yet to.

August Moon 6August Moon
by Tammy Morea
Release Date: May 2014

Summary from Goodreads:
What do you do when the one who broke your heart, is the only one who can fix it?

There is nothing in this world stronger than the powerful emotion of being in love. Except, maybe the paralyzing pain of a broken heart.

Moving to a small unfamiliar beach town in the summer before her senior year of high school is really going to suck. Raven, a black haired beauty, from a well- off family was certain about that. Miserable in her circumstance’s, nothing could convince her otherwise, until Raven meets Quinn, a local with a love for surfing and a bad reputation to go with it. Despite the very different worlds they live in, their desire for each other is undeniable. Raven’s fears and misery start to vanish as she and Quinn fall deeper and deeper into each other.

But things change drastically when Raven is unknowingly used as a pawn, in a turn of disastrous events, caused by Quinn’s older brother.

The events that follow could silence Raven’s heart for eternity and completely destroy what’s left of Quinn’s soul.

August Moon is a captivating story of young love. Bringing two unlikely hearts together. Only to be shattered by one tortuous decision. Putting these star-crossed lovers on course for the ultimate challenge of forgiveness.

tammy moreaAbout the Author
I am a Young Adult Author, My first Novel August Moon will be released in late spring 2014. Besides writing I love to read Romance, YA, ChicLit, Fantasy, Paranormal and a good auto biography never hurt anyone. My other greatest passion is animals, I love them all, but I have a weakness for dogs, I wish I could save every single one that needs saving. I have a dog Tank, he’s my heart and he’s a big… mush, I bite his face all day long and he lets me. I also love mini pigs, one day I will have one. My fiancé Chris doesn’t think so, but what does he know. I think I’m an amateur photographer, but really I just like to take pictures and sometimes they come out really good. I love Riding on the back of Chris’s Harley, it’s my favorite form of transportation. I’m obsessed with the Twilight Saga, those books literally changed my life. Tattoos are sexy, I have seven. I pretty much love anything with a skull on it. My thumb is very green, just ask my air plants. I can cook my ass off, just ask Chris. I enjoy being active in all different ways- hiking, biking, camping, taking Tank for a 3 mile walk, working out or sitting on the couch all day catching up on my DVR recordings. I love to dress up and wear make up and accessories (I have a ring addiction, that I think I might need some counseling for) and heels, but I can get dirty on a camping trip or hang out in my sweats and a tee all day, I will even walk Tank in Pj’s with no make -up on(yep, you heard me, Pj’s, no make up- outside in public) I come from a big crazy Italian family and I wouldn’t have it any other way. And just because I want to give her props, I think Marilyn Monroe is the sexiest, hottest, bad-ass bitch in the history of bitches ( bitches meaning all us girls.)

I have one complaint that is the beginning reminded me of a Nicholas Sparks novel. It has a great vibe though it makes me think of when you’re a teenager and in love. Which is the case for this book. Wait I have one more complaint I hate cliff hangers! Any ways back to my review. This is a fun sweet love story that can be a little bit cheesy. There were moments where I felt it was a bit rushed but it was alright. I enjoyed laughing at parts while reading because it really did remind me of when I was younger and I thought I was in love. This is a quick read for any person who likes a sweet story of young love and how it can suddenly go wrong.

If you love a book about love its for you. This is not everyone’s type of book but a lot of people would love it.

happy reading

There exists a secret band of brothers like no other-six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Yet none of them relishes killing more than Wrath, the leader of The Black Dagger Brotherhood.

But, when one of his most trusted fighters is killed-leaving his half-breed daughter unaware of his existence or her fate-Wrath must usher her into the world of the undead-a world of sensuality beyond her wildest dreams.

My Thoughts:

Oh, Wrath! Hoe I love thee.

The first book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood is amazing. I loved the action. This is a book with such amazing characters. I loved reading every page of this book brought me deeper into a world that I wish I could be a part of. Wrath is an amazing male lead he comes off as stoic which he is but then there is Beth the one person who can warm his heart. The fact that he is suffering from guilt that doesn’t even belong to him was just wow because it shows his heart. Beth is so amazing a woman character. She embodies what a strong independent woman is and then some. She tames a savage beast for lack of better words she is simply amazing. She had such a hard life ad became successful she awed me. Beth is one of my fave female leads. She just wowed me this was a great first book to what I hope will be an amazing series.

  1. Great story line
  2. Steamy moments
  3. Wrath
  4. The brothers
  5. Beth
  6. Oh, did I say Wrath.

a Review: The Promise of Amazing (164)

Book:  The Promise of Amazing, Balzer + Bray, December 2013

Written By: Robin Constantine

Book Info:

Hard Cover, No. of Pages:371

About Book: Wren Caswell is average. Ranked in the middle of her class at Sacred Heart, she’s not popular, but not a social misfit. Wren is the quiet, “good” girl who’s always done what she’s supposed to—only now in her junior year, this passive strategy is backfiring. She wants to change, but doesn’t know how.

Grayson Barrett was the king of St. Gabe’s. Star of the lacrosse team, top of his class, on a fast track to a brilliant future—until he was expelled for being a “term paper pimp.” Now Gray is in a downward spiral and needs to change, but doesn’t know how.

One fateful night their paths cross when Wren, working at her family’s Arthurian-themed catering hall, performs the Heimlich on Gray as he chokes on a cocktail weenie, saving his life literally and figuratively. What follows is the complicated, awkward, hilarious, and tender tale of two teens shedding their pasts, figuring out who they are—and falling in love.

My Thoughts:

This book was just OMG… I …. it was alright. It was a to teenagery ( I know that’s not a word). It just was not very realistic. I mean they slept together way to fast. I mean I know it’s not so common to have teenagers be virgins but still there is such a thing as waiting and it just felt so rushed. There was no real substance to the story it just was lacking way to much. I hoped for more from a YA novel it is rare that I end up bored and debating not finishing a book. The thing that bugged me the most was the slang. I mean I have teenage cousins who are the age of the characters in this book and they don’t use halfnot even a quarter of the slang that was used in this novel. IT took away from the story. This books title promised me amazing I was left with out amazing. It just didn’t do it for me. I know you guys are used to hearing positive reviews from me but there is not anything nice I could say about this book.

It needs more depth its a book the promises more than it gives.
