Beautiful Creatures By Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl

7953186There were no surprises in Gatlin County.
We were pretty much the epicenter of the middle of nowhere.
At least, that’s what I thought.
Turns out, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
There was a curse.
There was a girl.
And in the end, there was a grave.
Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she’s struggling to conceal her power and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.
Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town’s oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.

In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

Witch & Wizard By James Patterson & Gabrielle Charbonnet

9818474 YOUR BOOKS, MUSIC, AND ART–BANNED BY THE NEW ORDER!

Everything is about to change. The government has seized control of every aspect of society, and this is the astonishing testimonial of Wisty and Whit Allgood, a sister and brother who were torn from their family in the middle of the night, slammed into prison, and accused of being a witch and a wizard. Thousands of young people have been kidnapped; some have been accused; many others remain missing. Their fate is unknown, and the worst is feared–for the ruling regime will stop at nothing to suppress life and liberty, music and books, art and magic . . . and the pursuit of being a normal teenager.

How Zoe Made Here Dreams (Mostly) Come True By Sarah Strohmeyer

16248148From Sarah Strohmeyer, author of Smart Girls Get What They Want, comes this romantic comedy about one girl’s summer job from hell. Think The Devil Wears Prada set in Disney World.

When cousins Zoe and Jess land summer internships at the Fairyland Kingdom theme park, they are sure they’ve hit the jackpot. With perks like hot Abercrombie-like Prince Charmings and a chance to win the coveted $25,000 Dream & Do grant, what more could a girl want?

Once Zoe arrives, however, she’s assigned to serve “The Queen”-Fairyland’s boss from hell. From spoon-feeding her evil lapdog caviar, to fetching midnight sleeping tonics, Zoe fears she might not have what it takes to survive the summer, much less win the money.

Soon backstabbing interns, a runaway Cinderella, and cutthroat competition make Zoe’s job more like a nightmare than a fairy tale. What will happen when Zoe is forced to choose between serving The Queen and saving the prince of her dreams?

The Demigod Diaries(114)

13155485The Demigod Diaries By Rick Riordan

Young Demigods,
Your Destiny Awaits!
You must prepare yourself for a difficult future: fighting monsters, adventuring across the globe, and dealing with temperamental Greek and Roman gods. You’ll join your favorite demigods from the Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series as they face dangerous foes and perilous tasks. What you learn from their experiences could very well save your life!

My Thoughts:

The reasons why I love these sweet little stories set in the world of the Olympians. Simply because you are allowed a few more sweet moments of adventure. So shall I begin with the first story

The First Story: The Diary of Luke Castellan.
This story broke my heart. Simply because it was Luke. I always had a love hate relationship with him through out the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. He amazed me. You could always tell that he knew he was wrong but he was hurt. As a parent I would hate to have my child feel the kind of regret or anger. I wanted to scream at the gods to fix what they did wrong but at the same time I understood why they had rules. The thing is I think of Luke had never met the demigod he met in that story he would have chosen a different path. Hr might have been able to save himself sooner than he did.
This story was amazing but for me heart breaking at the same time.
The second story: The Staff of Hermes
I loved that Percy’s one month anniversary ended up being a quest. The thing is I wouldn’t expect anything different from Percy and Annabeth. This was a fun story to hear just because i am a huge fan of these two hero’s. They have all the greatest adventures. They are the best team of hero’s every adventure they have been on turns out to be incredible.  Although this is not my favorite of all the journeys they have been on it was lovely.

The Interview with George & Martha

I love when they do interviews with characters from the books. I love George and Martha simply because they are complete opposites from each other and they always make me laugh.

The Third Story: The son of Magic By Haley Riordan

I loved this story. I know your thinking you love everything that has to do with Percy Jackson. Which is true I am a fan. The thing is I love that this opened up a whole other piece to the puzzle that I never would have expected. Like the way the mist works. The fact that there is a reason that monsters can find the demigods and its the last thing I would have ever expected. Yeah this story was cool and not a thing that I would have expected. Then I was even more awed by the fact that it was written by a sixteen year old. Over all I loved this addition to the Hero’s of Olympus. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the series.

Review:

I will be the first to admit I was wrong. I am happy that I listened and continued to listen to this book. This is a beautiful story. I know my first post screamed stay away don’t even think about looking at it but then I was told it gets better. The thing is it does get better. I loved this story it is about Samantha Kingston the girl who has it all. The girl everyone in high school wishes they could be. The thing is why would you want to be a mean girl. Someone who no one really likes or respects. That is what Sam learns after 7 days of living the same day over and over. She looks at everything that she had done wrong in her life. Everything that made her who she was. It was like she got to do one last thing to make all the wrong she had done in her life better. I have to say the ending I did not expect at all. This truly was a beautiful book from the beginning to the end. It shows that it will get better no matter how hard things.  That one little choice can change things for more than one person.

So if your asking if I think you should read this book. YES! Yes you should take the time to listen or read this wonderful novel about a girl who made a hard choice. It is worth every minute it takes to read or listen.

Review:

Dun dun dun……
I have given up on this novel. 😦 I know what your thinking but you just started. Well I am sadly just not into it. I feel like im hearing nothing but poor popular girl who is too popular and her life sucks. So I am going to have to say fair well to this novel at the moment. I will not give you any thoughts beyond what I have said due to the fact I did not complete it.
