Description of the Book:Meet Merit, a “wonderfully compelling vampire heroine” (USA Today bestselling author Julie Kenner).

Chicago is beset by supernatural tensions, and Merit-vampire protector of a safe haven called Cadogan house-is worried that the humans will be reaching for their pitchforks any minute. It doesn’t help that yet another vampire rave is broken up by the mayor, and a new inhibition- reducing drug is circulating through the community.

It’s up to Merit to put her house in order-literally. And if that takes getting a little blood on her hands, so be it.

Pre-Read:I cant wait to see what Chloe does next

While Reading:

  • I always get hungry while reading this series
  • I cant help but think that its humans doing the killings to set up the vamps
  • So I think that Jonah should be with Merit just saying
  • The V thing is crazy
  • I’m feeling nervous

Overall Thoughts:

This book was amazing. I cried so hard at the ending. I don’t know if I could read the next one I mean this is the best book by far. Merit has become a great vampire. She has a great sense of humor and is so compassionate. Then Ethan is just wow.  He works so hard to win Marit back. So you have all of these crazy thing going on in Chicago with Merit trying to save the world. I am amazed by Chloe Neill talent. She showed Merit in a new light. You see her humanity as one of her greatest strengths in my mind. This is an amazing series to read. You see how Merit deals with her job as a sentinel and her relationship with Ethan. I think that if you have read the other books of the series this one will make you love and hate everything going on at the same time.

Rating: 5 out of 5

Happy Reading!

Always Jess
