Description of the Book:Shapeshifters from across the country are convening in the Windy City, and as a gesture of peace, Master Vampire Ethan Sullivan has offered their leader a very special bodyguard: Merit, Chicago’s newest vampire. Merit is supposed to protect the Alpha, Gabriel Keene-and to spy for the vamps while she’s at it. Oh, and luckily Ethan’s offering some steamy, one-on-one combat training sessions to help her prepare for the mission.
Unfortunately, someone is gunning for Gabriel, and Merit soon finds herself in the line of fire. She’ll need all the help she can get to track down the would-be assassin, but everywhere she turns, there are rising tensions between supernaturals-not least between her and a certain green-eyed, centuries-old master vampire

Wow this was amazing! I loved this book it was the best book by far. This is officially my favorite in the series by far. Chloe Neill is amazing writer. She always leaves me wanting more. This book took Ethan and Merits relationship to the next level. I loved being able to see Ethan’s humanity. I loves how much he cares for all of his vampires. The other thing I loved was the shifter. I am a huge fan of shifters. They are like my favorite paranormal. Gabriel is an amazing alpha he makes shifters seem amazingly hot. Ok enough about Gabriel Keenes being sexy! 🙂 This book is a great way to show the world of supernatural in a different light. I love that you get to see that all beings have their good and bad sides. I know that shifters and vamp normally don’t normally get along but the way you saw people set aside their differences for the greater good. Also how even the simplest of people can be swayed to the dark side. I loved it lots hence my ramblings. If you haven’t read the series yet you really should check it out.
