Description of the Book:

Kazu Kibuishi’s thrilling, NEW YORK TIMES bestselling series continues!

Emily and her friends think they’ll find the help they need in Cielis, but something isn’t right. Streets that were once busy are deserted, and the townspeople who are left live in crippling fear. Emily is escorted to the Academy where she’s expected to compete for a spot on the Guardian Council, the most powerful Stonekeepers. But as the number of competitors gets smaller and smaller, a terrible secret is slowly uncovered–a secret that, if left buried, means certain destruction of everything Emily fights for.

Pre-Read: YAY Book 4

While Reading:

  • Max seems off to me
  • Emily’s mother should listen to her
  • Yeah something is off!

Overall Thoughts:

Ok this book was a little more crazy. Max is just damn. I never thought i could be more interested in the series then I already was. This one shows you things you would never expect to happen. Emily is feeling confused about what is going on. When she finds another stone keeper. She should be able to trust but can’t. Well that just sucks. The fourth books is better then the first three and so worth the time. I recommend this series to all the comic nerds out there.

Genre:YA, Dystopia

Description of the Book:In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister’s place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before-and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Pre-Read:I’ve been wanting to read this since I saw the movie. I mean if the movie was that good the book is bound to be amazing 🙂

While Reading:

  • It’s sad that they have to risk so much
  • Wow Peeta is an amazing person to be that brave as a kid.
  • I would be terrified to have to be a tribute
  • Katniss seems so cold
  • I wonder why Cinna asked for district 12
  • I like Peeta in the book better than i did in the movie
  • You can see Peeta’s feelings more clearly in the book in the beginning
  • I cant help but want to cry for Peeta
  • I like Peeta statement the wants to die as himself
  • Peeta is a jerk
  • I love how Katniss is always thinking about her sister
  • I was scared Katniss was about to give up
  • I couldn’t do what Katniss is doing
  • Poor Peeta

Overall Thoughts:

This book was way better than the movie but as I said before the book is always better. Well thus far that has been my experience as a reader that has been the case. There were moments where I thought of Katniss as a cold-hearted person but then I began to understand that she is guarded. Always living with the constant fear of losing the people she loved most in the world. I loved seeing her strength and selflessness. the fact that she is constantly thinking about Prim. The fact that all the mattered was dying with dignity for her sister.Than you have Peeta I felt such sorrow for him. He has loved Katniss and she was just putting on a show. This book was amazing. Thought wow to have to go from one extreme to an other. This is an amazing book you get to experience a range of emotions while reading. I enjoyed every moment while reading. I recommend this to anyone who loves Dystopia novels. If you have yet to read it what are you waiting for.

Description of the Book: No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well… There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different… And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger… and they know it.

Pre-Read: Oh Deamon Black how I’ve missed you 🙂 Love his Banter!

While Reading:

  • WTH Dawson!
  • Deamon is always surprising me!
  • How sweet Deamon has become.
  • Dawson is something else
  • Andrew is a jerk but i get why he feels the way he does.
  • I would be just like Dee if it was me in her shoes
  • I think that Dee should be the one to go in not Katy
  • I’m starting to want to slap Deamon for being so over protective
  • I cant help but wonder if I’d be like Blake if I had to go through what he has to protect his friend
  • I knew you couldn’t trust Blake.

Overall Thoughts:OMG!!! That just happened. Like that really happened! I am devastated how could Jennifer leave me hanging like this. Ah I don’t want to wait til august to read Origins/ This isn’t my favorite book in the series but it is good. I mean Katy and Deamon are finally together. The road to get there had a lot of pain. It makes me so sad how it ended and it just ugh so many emotions. I really did like this book and cant wait to read the next one just three more months till book four. Back to Opal it really was a good book but I never trusted Blake and now things have gone from bad to beyond worse. If you’ve read the series you should totally pick up a copy. It is good.
