Fallen, Book 1
Author: Lauren Kate
Published:December 8, 2009
Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Description of the Book:
There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce – he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret…even if it kills her.
Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, FALLEN is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.
Pre-Read: I’m in an Angel Mood don’t ask me why lol
While Reading: I want to know why Daniel and Luce have a connection. Also why the hell does he keep denying that he feels it to. Then Cam I don’t like him I feel like he’s up to something.
Ok I changed my mind i like Cam.
Overall Thoughts: Wow. I spent the whole book like ok so who’s the angel why do they feel connected what the world is going on here. I loved it, the story line kept me interested the whole time. I have to say though I am so Team Cam. I love this story because Luce spends all this time thinking she is crazy. That she is responsible for things that were out of her hands. It is amazingly written and it leaves you with a mystery and wanting more. Its rare now and days to find an author who leaves you wanting more from a story. Some authors give it all way so quickly but Lauren Kate didn’t do that until the end and she still didn’t give you that much. She gives you just enough to have you say ok I think I get it but I still don’t really understand everything that’s happening here. I must say I am impressed and must get my hands on Torment aka Book 2. Its been awhile since ive been excited to jump into the next book of a series besides The infernal Devices and I am sad to say that those have nothing on Fallen. So if you own and haven’t read. Read it. If you don’t try to get your hands on a copy. It Rocks!
Rating: I Give it a 5 out of 5.
