Nevermore: Nevermore, Book 1 (43)

7129598Description of the Book:Cheerleader Isobel Lanley is horrified when she is paired with Varen Nethers for an English project, which is due—so unfair—on the day of the rival game. Cold and aloof, sardonic and sharp-tongued, Varen makes it clear he’d rather not have anything to do with her either. But when Isobel discovers strange writing in his journal, she can’t help but give this enigmatic boy with the piercing eyes another look.

Soon, Isobel finds herself making excuses to be with Varen. Steadily pulled away from her friends and her possessive boyfriend, Isobel ventures deeper and deeper into the dream world Varen has created through the pages of his notebook, a realm where the terrifying stories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life.

As her world begins to unravel around her, Isobel discovers that dreams, like words, hold more power than she ever imagined, and that the most frightening realities are those of the mind. Now she must find a way to reach Varen before he is consumed by the shadows of his own nightmares.

His life depends on it.

Pre-Read:  Cheerleader and a goth. Edgar Allen Poe reference for a title officially curious.

While Reading: OMG this is like the craziest book ever im in love.

Summery: So it all started with an english assignment. Don’t you just hate when you get partnered with someone like on the outs with your social circle that’s what happened to Isobel and Varen hence cheerleader and Goth….. This is so not going to go well. I mean Varen is the king of darkness and well Isobel is the queen of pink land. So that’s not that great combination. Then slowly Isobel gets pulled into a world that makes no sense. Shes seeing and hearing things she’s know shouldn’t exist or should they. Everything gets mess up. Slowly she starts to lose her Queenship because of the king of darkness. What the hell is going on right….. Well if I told you, you wouldn’t have fun reading the book……

Overall Thoughts:  This book made me want to read the complete works of Edgar Allen Poe. Kelly Creagh is like total amazing. I love her imagination. I mean to take the words of poe and change it into a reality. Like wow amazing. I mean if everything Poe had written about had been real the world would be a very scary place. I mean come one dreams being a reality. Scary especially if you have a scary mind to a normal on looker. The book is so amazing. I love that it all starts because they get stuck working together on a project that they didn’t even want to do together in the first place. It is just amazing how a friendship can grow from something so simple.  I loved this story so much. I think if you can find the time to get it or pick it up from your local library I so recommend it. It is a wonderfully written story.

Two Way Street (42)

1672727Description of the book:There are two sides to every breakup.

This is Jordan and Courtney, totally in love. Sure, they were an unlikely high school couple. But they clicked; it worked. They’re even going to the same college, and driving cross-country together for orientation.

Then Jordan dumps Courtney — for a girl he met on the Internet.

It’s too late to change plans, so the road trip is on. Courtney’s heartbroken, but figures she can tough it out for a few days. La la la — this is Courtney pretending not to care.

But in a strange twist, Jordan cares. A lot.

Turns out, he’s got a secret or two that he’s not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can’t get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.

Pre read: Ive wanted to read this book for a while im kind of excited.

while reading: It reminds me of a typical break up minus all the crazy secrets going on between the two of them.

summary:  This book is about a road trip and all the events before it. Jordan and Courtney were an unlikely couple and they fell for each other. But before they became a couple Jordan walked in on his mom having an affair. A few weeks later he finds out that it is Courtney’s Dad that he found with his mom. So he has this big secret he’s keeping and its hurting him apart so he finally breaks up with her. Even though he really didn’t want to. Courtney is thinking he has another girlfriend when it’s not true. He was confused didn’t know how to protect her so he thought it was best. Then while on the road trip slowly everything comes out and its a long ride from florida to boston university.

overall thoughts:  I like this story because it went back and forth between the two main characters point of views. It’s cool to hear both sides of the story especially since a lot of the time people get curious about what is going on in a story. I also like that it isn’t your typical break up story. You know, boy meets girl they fall in love boy cheats what ever the boy does and then girl get revenge or goes all crazy. That’s not the case though. Its has a break up story but it also has a story about how they find their way back to each other. I think that’s what I liked so much about it.

overall thoughts: I can’t wait for book 3. Alice Clayton is amazing! I love her books I own them all i cant wait for the next redhead book. Any ways back to Book 2. I love Jack and Grace. I love that they complete each other. I also love that Grace can have a complete melt down at one point wont say when though and Jack is having a hard time excepting things. It was cool to see that they were as in love as they were even after such a shot period of time. I just i really have no words. The book is funny sad heart wrenching. it’s just amazing. I loved it so much. I’m happy that Micheal now knows he has no chance and that Grace has come to terms with her love for her Brit. 10470567Description of the book:Zoey is finally home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side, and preparing to face off against Neferet – which would be a whole lot easier if the High Counsel saw the ex-High Priestess for what she really is. And then there’s the mysterious Aurox, a jaw-droppingly gorgeous teen boy who is actually more – or possibly less – than human. Only Neferet knows he was created to be her greatest weapon. But Zoey can sense the part of his soul that remains human, the compassion that wars with his Dark calling. And there’s something strangely familiar about him…

Will Neferet’s true nature be revealed before she succeeds in silencing them all? And will Zoey be able to touch Aurox’s humanity in time to protect him – and everyone – from his own fate? Find out what’s destined in the next thrilling chapter of the House of Night series.

Pre read: Im not like super excited because I still miss Heath he rocked socks 😦 And im super sad Jack died 😦

while reading:OOOOOOO is all I can say oooooooo

summary: So pretty much this one is about finding out the truth. Like who the hell killed Zoeys mom? Is Nefret Really as evil as she seems? Can Light overcome darkness? Dun Dun Dun! On top of all that Nefret has got the attention of the Vampyre highs priestess what are in charge of all. So the Send DEATH aka Thantos to look into everything. It gets crazy and let me tell you so worth the read

overall thoughts: I loved it because it gave you more to think about and it lets you question things you didn’t think to question. Also it leaves you think finally good has gotten on up on evil but did they really its crazy. Its going back to what i loved about House of night as a series. The battle between good and evil. The struggle that Zoey has trying to do the right thing and living the right way. I loved that because a lot of people deal with that kind of stuff. Maybe not on the scale where its a fight between good and evil though. I also cant wait to see how the do the whole Arux is heath or a part of Heath. The book is awesome I loved it.

Rating: I give it a 4 out of 5.

Pre-Read: I love Lenobia cant wait to hear her story

While Reading: I didn’t think I could like anyone any more than I do now

Summery: This is the story of how Lenobia came to america. Her journey and how she fell in love with a man she shouldn’t have ever loved. How she would ave fought for him no matter what.

Overall Thoughts: I hate that house of night books make me cry. I was so sad when i found out that Lenobia had lost the love of her life because of darkness. It was just sad and it annoyed me that evil can win so often. It was also nice to see that she didn’t let her tragedy to mess up her life you know. I loved it
