Dark Frost: a Mythos Academy, Book 3 (31)

12862108Description on the Back of the Book: I’ve seen so many freaky things since I started attending Mythos Academy last fall. I know I’m supposed to be a fearless warrior, but most of the time, I feel like I’m just waiting for the next Bad, Bad Thing to happen. Like someone trying to kill me—again.

Everyone at Mythos Academy knows me as Gwen Frost, the Gypsy girl who uses her psychometry magic to find lost objects—and who just may be dating Logan Quinn, the hottest guy in school. But I’m also the girl the Reapers of Chaos want dead in the worst way. The Reapers are the baddest of the bad, the people who murdered my mom. So why do they have it in for me?

It turns out my mom hid a powerful artifact called the Helheim Dagger before she died. Now, the Reapers will do anything to get it back. They think I know where the dagger is hidden, but this is one thing I can’t use my magic to find. All I do know is that the Reapers are coming for me—and I’m in for the fight of my life.

Pre-Read:I liked the cover. all i could think about once i got my hands on it was Hello Hot spartan what will happen next……

While Reading:It was predictable.  The thing is I couldn’t help but finish

Summery:So to start off Gwen is dealing with the fact that her mother was murdered not killed in a car crash. Then you have the whole thing with Logan Quinn getting complicated. Then the whole fact the reapers keep attacking Gwen let just say things get crazy. Then the search for the last item that is need to release a big bad god, is found then stolen then boom all Helheim breaks loose. That is not good.

Overall: This book is good. But once again it needs a little more. I love the series because it is so different but I do wish that it could have a little more umph. Jennifer Estep is a great writer. The series is imaginative and well its wow. The thing is some of it is predictable and i could figure out what was going to happen next. I am going to read the next one once again out of curiosity because I do love me some hot spartan aka Logan Quinn.
