Description on the Back of the Book: Nora Grey’s life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn’t pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He’s more elusive than ever (if that’s possible) and what’s worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora’s archenemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn’t been acting so distant. Even with Scott’s totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him – despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something.
If that weren’t enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything – and everyone – she trusts.
Pre-Read: So pretty much i wanted to read this book because of the following reason. I loved Hush Hush and i couldn’t help but wonder what was going to happen to patch and Nora next. And then the cover made me a little curious. Like why is Nora standing alone???
Can you honestly say that cover does not make you curious.
While Reading: Lets just say i felt heart-broken there was so much going on. it was just so wow. Beca Fitzpatrick rocked my socks every second I spent reading.
Overall: So I can’t say i loved it. But it was awesome. It is a good book. I didn’t expect a lot of what happened but it did bring me to a realization that not everything is what it seems. Like for one i was anti patch for almost the whole book because i’m sitting there thinking wow he when from being cocky to being a complete jerk. Like beyond jerk. Enter patches best friend let me tell you i was not happy with the fact that now Nora’s besties was dating Patches bestie. Can you say awkward. Yes i hope you can because it was really weird. I mean especially if you have a break up happen. Which did for patch and Nora. She thought she was protecting him but really all she was doing was hurting her self and everyone else. Then the whole thinking your hearing a dead person talk to you and seeing him well lets just say there were some pretty crazy things happening in this book. It was so good. There are so many more things i could say but i dont want to spoil the book for people who plan to read it. But it truly was a good book and worth the read. It also leaves you wanting to read the nex book in the series Silence. Let me tell you i do plane on reading.
Rating: I give it a 5 out of 5
