Hex Hall Series: Hex Hall, Demon Glass, & Spell Bound (8,9,10)

The Hex Hall Series as a whole is just amazing I loved reading about Sophie Mercer finding out who she really was. I also enjoyed how it made me think so differently about demons and witches. Even the people who hunt them and all the thing they go through.

Hex Hall: Book One

Hex Hall is a great book. Rachel Hawkins did a great job writing it. Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch and tried to uses her powers to help people. That’s what gets her sent to Hex Hall which is like juvi for paranormal beings. It’s there she learns more about a world that she never knew existed. It is at Hex hall she learns that things are never truly like they seem.
Hex Hal is a wonderful book. I never knew what to expect next. I enjoyed every moment reading it. I recommend adding it to your collection or borrowing it from your local library
I give it a 5 out of 5
Description on the Back of the Book

Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch! It’s gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie’s estranged father-an elusive European warlock-only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it’s her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shape shifters. By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect. As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her.

Demon Glass: Book 2

Sophie goes from thinking she’s a witch to finding out she is a demon. That doesn’t go over very well with her at all. So she decides she wants to go through the removal. Witch is a way for her to get rid of all her powers. she doesn’t want to be come a monster who can blame her. Her dad isn’t on her side when it comes to getting the removal done. So he ask her to spend the summer with him in London to try to change her mind.

Demon Glass is a great addition to the Hex Hall series. It left m on my toes. I never knew what to expect next. It has way more action the first book in the series and that’s saying a lot cause there was a lot of action in the first story. It has a great combination of romance, comedy and action.
I give it a 4.5 out of 5
Description on the Book of the Book

Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch, that was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium. But that was before she discovered the family secret and that her hot crush, Archer Cross is an agent for the eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth. Turns out, Sophie’s a demon , one of only two in the world, the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal,a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers. But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Acher to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?

Spell Bound:Book 3

This is the conclusion to the Hex Hall series. I am truly sad. I fell in love with this series from the moment i picked up Hex hall and read about a young but strong willed girl. Who had to make many choices that hurt and brought pain to many different people but the ends justified the means. As the say in the story. She learned the meaning of true sacrifice. All I can say is wonderful It is a great conclusion to the Hex hall series and i loved every moment reading it. I defiantly recommend reading it if you can get your hands on a copy.

I give it a 5 out of 5

Description on the Back of the Book

Just as Sophie Mercer has come to accept her extraordinary magical powers as a demon, the Prodigium Council strips them away. Now Sophie is defenseless, alone, and at the mercy of her sworn enemies—the Brannicks, a family of warrior women who hunt down the Prodigium. Or at least that’s what Sophie thinks, until she makes a surprising discovery. The Brannicks know an epic war is coming, and they believe Sophie is the only one powerful enough to stop the world from ending. But without her magic, Sophie isn’t as confident. Sophie’s bound for one hell of a ride—can she get her powers back before it’s too late?

The series as a whole is amazing and i enjoyed every moment reading it. Rachel Hawkins is a great writer and i cant wait to experience her next series

As a whole i give the series a 5 out of 5

Happy Reading!

Always
